Frightful Fun and Fall Festivities
Clearwater doesn’t just serve up sun and sand; it also delivers fall fun in spades! As you imagine the leaves starting to change (it’s Florida, after all), families flock to local festivals, Halloween haunts, and trunk-or-treat events that turn the city into a candy-filled paradise. Whether your crew wants to pick pumpkins, get spooked at a haunted house, or rack up enough candy to last until New Year’s, Clearwater’s 2024 lineup of kids’ and family-friendly events has something for every little ghost, goblin and giddy parent. Grab your buckets, dress up the kids, and prepare for an autumn adventure packed with fun, food and a whole lot of sugar!
Clearwater is gearing up for a spooktacular fall season with a variety of events taking place in parks, libraries and recreation centers throughout the city.
Here’s a lineup of the frightening festivities:
Join us for a fright night of fun, including Halloween carnival games, spooktacular food trucks and family-friendly activities.

Clearwater Last Friday: Fall-O-Ween
Clearwater Last Friday is a new monthly event the city is launching at Coachman Park, taking place on the last Friday of each month. Each event will feature live entertainment, delicious food, and a variety of engaging activities. To kick off this exciting new tradition, the evening will also feature activities for the whole family, such as a children’s costume contest, a candy trail, live music and a screening of the movie “Casper” (PG) under the stars.

Join us for Community Family Fun Night on Saturday, October 26, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Walter C. Campbell Park on Buccaneer Field (next to Jack Russell Stadium) in Clearwater! Hosted by the Clearwater Urban Leadership Coalition and the city of Clearwater, this free event is the perfect way to celebrate the fall season with your entire family.
Enjoy a fun-filled evening with free food, bounce houses, slides, a rock climbing wall, face painting, a 360 photo booth and Toddler Town for the little ones. You’ll also get to experience exciting activities like a “Touch a Truck” event, line dancing and so much more. Whether you’re here for the games, the entertainment or the sweet treats, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable fall festival—mark your calendars and come join the fun!

Fall-O-Ween at Moccasin Lake Nature Park
- Saturday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Moccasin Lake Nature Park, 2750 Park Trail Lane
Head to Moccasin Lake Nature Park for fun fall children’s crafts, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, music in karaoke form, spooky trails and the “Mini-Fluffy Cow Experience.” Event is free; cow experience is $5 per person.
Halloween/Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
Join us in celebrating with an afternoon of crafts and activities. Free.

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
This Halloween, participants will enter the netherworld of the film “Beetlejuice” (PG, 1988). During this event, you will find out how they died, create Beetlejuice bracelets and have special photo opportunities. Costumes are encouraged. Registration is not required, but space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Free.

Sweet Swap
Donate your Halloween candy or make a donation of items to service members overseas at any Clearwater recreation center. For every pound of candy donated, earn one ticket for a chance to win prizes.

Join us for an unforgettable free autumn adventure, filled with food, exciting games, lively music, creative crafts and endless fun for all ages.

Don’t miss this Thanksgiving tradition. Line up before 7 a.m. for the 5K near Keene and Druid roads. The 1-mile race will follow at 9:30 a.m. Neighborhoods along race routes may experience traffic impacts, pedestrians and road closures.

This Halloween, gather your little ghouls and superheroes for a fun-filled Trick or Treat Trail at Largo City Hall on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Children ages 5-14 are invited to don their spookiest or silliest costumes and enjoy a safe, fang-tastic trick-or-treating experience while meeting City of Largo team members dressed in their own Halloween best!
The trail opens at 5:30pm, and kids can collect candy and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Be sure to arrive by 6:15pm to join in the fun. No need to bring bags or buckets—just your Halloween spirit. For safety, please leave costume accessories like toy weapons at home.
This free event provides a safe and exciting way for families to celebrate Halloween with the Largo community.
